QHA is built on the brand idea of "Look back to see what's ahead".

It is described as one with a passion for Arabic coffee, ‘taste’ for espresso, and knowledge of Emirati coffee tradition. With all that combined this speciality coffee shop melds Emirati coffee flavors and aroma with the world’s favorite and popular caffeine drink, which is espresso. In a humble way, Qha is in a mission to mainstream the coffee taste and aroma to the world in addition to its traditions.

In the Arabic literature and poetry there were many references to the name "Khamrah", which is the original Arabic meaning for coffee drink. However this same name currently means alcohol beverage. Eventually through the years "Khamrah" meaning of coffee drink faded and was replaced by the name "Qahwa". One must know the word "Qahwa" was originally extracted from the Arabic word "Qha", which means reducing the appetite of a person by eating/drinking a snack.
